DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH DENTISTRY Overview
Introduction of the Department
Public Health Dentistry is the science and art of preventing and controlling oral diseases. Making oral health an important part of our wellbeing through community efforts is the main objective of Public Health Dentistry. Dental health is most neglected unknowingly, though it is the most important part of human health. Public Health Dentistry strives to spread the importance of oral health care by serving the community with awareness, and educates the public with the benefits of having better dental hygiene.
Goals
- The goal of the Public Health dentistry is to provide basic & advanced Health promotion to an individual and group of people.
- Prevention of dental diseases & awareness of Oral hygiene in rural population.
- To provide Basic treatment in rural areas through state of art mobile dental clinic.
- The main goal of the Public Health Dentistry is to achieve good oral hygiene & health awareness in public through organized community efforts.
