Dental college was established in\u00a02009.<\/p><p>It has separate undergraduate and postgraduate sections equipped with modern dental chairs fitted with ultrasonic scalers as per Dental Council of India guidelines.<\/p><p><strong>KEY FEATURES<\/strong><br \/><br \/>Undergraduate students are trained with skills to render non-surgical and preventive periodontal procedures and are introduced to surgical periodontal procedures by observing and assisting as procedures are being performed.<br \/><br \/>Postgraduate students are given opportunity to learn and master a variety of surgical clinical procedures.<br \/><br \/>Hands on training in various implant systems and clinical exposure to use of lasers is being imparted as part of the curriculum.<br \/><br \/>Rural community camps provide students with an opportunity to be a part of public health programs.<br \/><br \/><strong>CORE COMPETENCIES<br \/><\/strong>Regenerative periodontal therapy<br \/><br \/>Periodontal plastic and aesthetic surgery<br \/><br \/>Local drug delivery<br \/>Research in Periodontal Medicine<br \/>Preventive periodontal therapy<\/p><p>Advanced surgical equipment like laser, microsurgical unit, iontophorosis unit, electrocautery, implant kit and centrifuge to procure PRF are the additional facilities available in the department.<\/p><p>It also deals with the preventive and corrective measures in the management of gingival and periodontal diseases.<\/p><p>The entire faculty is involved in teaching undergraduate and post graduate students.<\/p><p>The undergraduate students are posted in the department for 30 days. During this time they are trained to provide comprehensive treatment to the patients, \u00a0including those requiring non-surgical as well as surgical periodontal
